You are not alone.

I believe it is critical to acknowledge that overwhelming stress, burnout, and general distress are endemic.

Our families and society are not organized around healthy patterns, and in the United States, we have a culture that rewards performance and materialism above all. It follows then, that all of us, at some point, eventually find ourselves at a crossroad — a divorce, a chronic illness, a major loss — or any event that compels us to change.

We can change — we can be ‘successful’ and healthy

With a philosophy that our past and things we aren't aware of influence our choices, my goal is to work with you to understand and uncover any previous hurt, disappointments, or fears that may be holding you back. Sometimes, these are obvious events or unresolved issues, such as in the case of any kind of abuse.  However, perhaps even more often and it may not be obvious, past hurt from chronic invalidation, absent but not abusive caregivers, teasing in childhood, or just an enduring pain or feeling of never fitting in can be very damaging.

It may surprise you that both scenarios can profoundly affect us as adults and can be the underlying fuel or source of the drive for perfectionism, chronic dissatisfaction, stress, and burnout.

Therapeutic principles

  • Therapy, like medicine, should ultimately reduce any symptoms of distress and increase your quality of life. Our work will utilize evidence-based or science-backed approaches that have met rigorous testing and are proven to deliver results.

  • Every therapeutic approach must be tailored to the unique needs of the individual. It will be central for me to understand you and your experiences as the starting point.

  • As a relational therapist, how we work together establishes the foundation for progress and healing. Therefore, my ability to earn your trust is key.

  • Learning is an important aspect of change. An important aspect of working together will be establishing a shared knowledge base which can include my providing information on any range of topics needed but often may include how the body and mind work or the purpose of each emotion.

FAQs

What are your fees?

My fees are $250 per 50-minute individual session and a minimum of $500 for each consultation.

Terms of each consultation (see description of this service in Services section, this is NOT the initial consultation in an individual therapy setting) differ based on a variety of factors including time of day, duration, and location.

At times, it may be beneficial to schedule extended sessions and the costs will be adjusted based on these baseline amounts.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Aetna, Oscar, Oxford and United Healthcare. Otherwise, I would be considered an out-of-network provider and would not bill insurance directly. If you do not have coverage with these providers, you might get reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits. Please check with your insurance about reimbursements and I can work with you to provide an invoice for services based on their requirements.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Yes! For video sessions, I use a secure HIPAA compliant platform, Simple Practice. Simple Practice can be accessed on your computer browser or by downloading an app to your mobile device.

How can I schedule an appointment?

Scheduling an appointment is easy! You can either call our offices directly (561) 794-4760 or request an appointment from the online form.

When will I see results?

This is a difficult question to answer because everyone defines success differently. However, you should expect to feel some immediate relief and reduced symptoms after the 2nd or 3rd session and measurably better by 8–12 sessions. Long-term changes often requires more time, lasting for a year or more.
